Jerry, one of our regular crew, has been participating in the Heineken Regatta and other Caribbean regatta for a number of years. He sails with Sandy on Cricket. If we had stayed for the Heineken, we had other crew as Jerry has a long-term commitment to Sandy for this year. Jerry came back to Florida after sailing in the Caribbean Multihull Challenge and returned to Sint Maarten for the Heineken.
Here are some pictures from “the bridge” across from the Sint Maarten Yacht Club as the boats return from racing – always a popular spectacle. These folks have on more than racing clothes. We are told that some crews strip off at this point.
