The world is a very different place than it was when we headed out December 5, 2019
The Corona virus has altered the course of more than just our plans for winter 2020. Cassandra is out of the water in Grenada. Proposed launch scheduled for November 1, 2020. We left with a number of items for various folks at Clark’s Court Marina to take care of.
Sail maker and rigger – retrieve the swivel for the scheecher, repair the screecher, recut the foot of the main so it will clear the bimini when not reefed. It wasn’t an issue this year. It was so windy that we always had at least one reef all winter.
Lots of small things to take care of, as well as weekly airing to prevent / minimize mildew. However, Cassandra held up well to lots of miles in lots of wind. And she is pretty quick based on a couple of races in heavy air.
