Moored off Foxy’s just relaxing and doing catch-up chores. Rob and Nancy left for the ferry from Jost to West End on the 9:00am ferry. The Snack Bar guy came around with patties again this morning. This used to be quite common – people coming around in dinks selling stuff. Lately it was only folks picking up trash ($5 per “big ass bag”) and ice. Hot patties the Mom makes with love is a treat worth waiting for.
We arrived about 7:30 yesterday morning and grabbed a mooring. The guys went to Customs to clear in. Took forever as all the dive and excursion boats from the cruise ships come and have to clear in with all their guests – very long line.
A couple of rum punches at Ali Baba’s and lunch. Shopped at Foxy’s gift shop for “the shirt”. Back to the boat for swims and naps. Returned to Foxy’s for dinner.
Good AT&T signal from St. John and the Google Fi hot spot are working well. Was able to send out welcome email to the DeAnza class participants, send out Add code to wailisted students, and reply to a request for an extension (one of the “best” explanations ever) – before the. course even started.
All in all, the trip from Nassau was pretty good. Everyone is pretty tired having missed sleep during the voyage. So happy to be here safe and sound.
