Although the office officially closed at 1, there was a dock guy still here to help get us tied up. We had an excellent dinner at the restaurant.
We chatted with the waitress. Her family had live and worked in Marsh Harbor in the Abacos. Hurricane Dorian had wiped out their home. They moved to Nassau and stayed with family and friends all over the island until the were able to find a place. Now they are together again. She just started working at the restaurant here a couple of weeks ago.
On our way back to Nassau from Highbourne Cay 30-40 boats were headed the other way many with Canadian flag. It was the first decent day in a week. Although some seemed headed for Highbourne many were on a more north and east track. Allen Cay and other smaller islands are in that direction.
Junkanoo parade scheduled to start at 10pm. Downtown will be a zoo.
